Who we are

This website is published by Hinkaku L.T.D, a digital agency based in Yaoundé, Cameroon (the controller of the personal data described in this notice, referred to as “we”, “us” and “our”). You can reach us at the address given in the footer of the main website or by email at the address in section 13.

What this notice covers

This notice explains which personal data we collect when you visit hinkaku.tech and when you use its contact form or the request drawers on the Solutions and Offers pages, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who can see it, and what rights you have. It does not cover websites that we link to, such as social networks or the websites of our clients; those have their own notices.

What we collect

We collect only what you type into a form and a few technical details needed to run it:

  • your name and email address;
  • the service or offer (and pack) you are interested in, and the organisation you represent if you give one;
  • the message you write;
  • the time you sent it, and the page you sent it from (for example the contact page or an offer page);
  • your IP address, which is checked briefly in memory to limit abuse and is not stored with your message.

You decide what to write in the message. Please do not send us sensitive information such as health details, identity documents or passwords.

What we do not collect

This site has no user accounts. It does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, analytics cookies or fingerprinting, and it does not build a profile of your visits. We do not collect any data about you when you only read the pages.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets only what it needs to work:

  • a security cookie (CSRF) that protects the contact forms against forged requests;
  • your theme choice (light or dark) and, for the length of your visit, whether the welcome animation has already played, both kept in your browser and never sent to us.

None of these identify you, and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

Some project stories embed a video or a demo (YouTube, Vimeo or CodePen). Nothing is requested from those services until you press play; after that, their own cookies and policies apply to what you watch.

Why we use it

We use your details only to answer you, to prepare a scope or a quote for the offer or service you asked about, and to follow up on your project. We rely on your request: you write to us, and we reply. We do not use your details for newsletters or any other marketing unless you separately ask for them.

How long we keep it

Messages are deleted or anonymised after 12 months. If we start working together, the information needed for the project and for our legal obligations may be kept for as long as the law requires, under the terms of our agreement (see section 8).

If you are our client

When we work together we also keep what our quotes, invoices and payments require: your organisation's name and address, its tax and trade registration numbers if you give them, your contact person, and the amounts, dates and documents of our dealings. These accounting records are kept for ten years, as the law requires, and the documents are stored encrypted.

If we send you a link to review a quote or confirm receipt of an invoice, the page you open records what you answer, the name you type, the signature you draw if you choose to, the time, your IP address and your browser, together with the fingerprint of the document you saw. We keep this as evidence with the document it concerns. The link stops working after a set time, sets no tracking cookie, and is never indexed by search engines.

Who sees it

The members of the Hinkaku team who handle requests, and the providers that run the website and deliver the email (our hosting and our email provider), only to the extent needed to provide their service. We do not sell or share your details for marketing, and we do not pass them to anyone else unless the law requires it.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Messages are visible only to authorised staff accounts, and the contact forms include anti-spam checks that do not rely on tracking you. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep the amount of data small.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the details we hold about you, to correct them, to delete them, or to stop using them. You can also object to the way we use them. Write to us at the address below; we will answer within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm who you are first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page before the change applies. Please check it from time to time.
